The Little Black was created originally as The Fresh Baked Samples boxes on Wickedly Chic by Amy Jagminas in October 2005. Originally they were sold quarterly. They became increasingly popular and she thought they needed their own site designed exclusively for them and that is when The Little Black Box was born.

After over two years of owning and operating the Little Black Box exclusively, Amy sold the site to me in April 2007. I'm also an online retailer, and I have chosen to keep the site exactly as Amy originally dreamed the site would be and follow through with the same theme.

We expanded to all things handmade in June of 2008. For a nearly a year we focused mostly on bath, body and candle items. I had a dream of taking over the handmade world and being the place where both my box buyers and clients could trust that I would keep them up to date on what was the hippest items in the handmade market today. With that change also came the change of switching out the boxes to fabulous bags! Less waste too! They are lighter and also look really great with our new logo sticker on the front of them thanks to Promos In A Snap! With the slowing economy our 150-200 bags typically sell out within a week or two. During the holiday season it's also hard to snag a spot to promote your business because we are usually booked solid as promoters know it's a great way for holiday sales.

I'm VERY happily married to my best friend Michael and mother to 7-year-old twin boys, Dylan and Connor. Before the Little Black Box, I created Whiff and Sniff Candles which has been running full steam ahead since October 2005 and is currently on a break so that I can focus on my most important dream, The Little Black Box. It's been amazing ride and I can assure you that I know the ins and outs of the online retailing world. I know as a consumer what I love to see in my sample boxes and, as a business owner, I also know that advertising comes a long way. It's my hope that I can give both the businesses and the consumers the TLC that they both deserve. In the end it's a win/win situation. I look forward to working with all of you!

Here's to a great new adventure!
